Here to help You
The Elm Foundation represents a safe, welcoming, supportive place for any man, woman or child affected by domestic abuse.
A friendly, informal, peaceful haven in which you can talk freely and make sense of your thoughts. A hub that can provide the advice, support and tools you may need to change your situation; where you will feel empowered to take back control of your life.
What is domestic abuse?
A woman is killed through domestic abuse every three days.
30 men are killed in a year
Domestic abuse encompasses one or more of the following: sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, psychological abuse and financial/economic abuse. It involves controlling and coercive behaviour and it rarely happens just once – such abuse tends to worsen and occur more frequently over time.
