Understanding Exploitation

Understanding Exploitation is a 1-1 programme for young people who have experience of Child Sexual Exploitation, grooming, online harassment, stalking, revenge pornography, Honour Based Violence, forced marriage and criminal exploitation.

The Programme 

The programme takes place over 12 sessions and covers the following topics:

•    Setting the scene
•    Healthy and unhealthy relationships
•    What is exploitation?
•    Risks around exploitation
•    Impacts of exploitation
•    Consent
•    Safety planning
•    Problem solving and making positive choices
•    Goal setting

The course is available to young people aged between 13–24-year-olds who live in Chesterfield, North-East Derbyshire, Bolsover or Amber Valley. Consent is required from a parent/guardian for children with parental responsibility under the age of 18 years.
