We are delighted to announce that our organisation has been awarded £2,500 from Foundation Derbyshire, generously provided through the Freemasons Fund. This funding will support the purchase of new garden furniture and other essential items including plants, pots etc. to help revitalise the outdoor spaces at our refuge sites.
These garden areas play a vital role in the wellbeing of the adults and children who stay with us—offering a safe, calming environment to relax, play, and reconnect during difficult times. The grant will enable us to create welcoming and therapeutic spaces that residents can enjoy year-round.
The Freemasons Panel, expressed how pleased they were to support the project, recognising the benefits that creating a nice garden space could have for the many residents and their children.
We are incredibly grateful for this support. With Foundation Derbyshire’s help, we can continue improving our refuges and ensure that every family has access to outdoor spaces that promote healing, connection, and a sense of normality, making them more colourful spaces for adults and children to enjoy.
